Machina Espresso, famous for all things coffee, have launched a menu!
Inside their cafe on Nicholson Street it’s all cool and minimal, the kind of place where you can feel like a real hipster (if that is, you’re not a real hipster).
The menu is short but perfectly formed – how I would describe myself if only I’d stop eating and lose two stone.
Anyway, enough about me, back to that menu. Here it is:
Having had to give up caffeine a while back I was pleased to discover some good loose leaf teas. Alex had the coffee and it arrived looking perfect, of course.
From the menu I ordered the Avocado On Toast, this was also topped with feta, chilli flakes and pumpkin seeds. As you can see it was beautifully presented and was quite a large portion. There was plenty of avocado and the sourdough was good quality.
Alex went for the Blue Smoothie Bowl which had blueberries, banana, coconut, coconut milk, yoghurt and granola. It was colourful and surprisingly filling.
We really should have stopped there, but we couldn’t resist the pastries. Just look! Could you have resisted…
Machina Espresso is a great place to enjoy a leisurely coffee or a bite to eat, take your laptop and do a spot of work, or take up residence at the window for a bit of people watching.
