Here they are, the dishes I ate that I’d again, and again, and again…
These Drunken Refried Beans with melty cheese and plantain chips from El Cartel were so moreish. I can’t wait for them to come back onto the menu.
The arrival of the Bacon Naan in Edinburgh was a breakfast game changer this year. Thanks Dishoom!
My favourite sweet treat of the year was this Chocolate Brownie Salted Caramel Sandwich from Cuckoo’s Bakery.
The Chateaubriand at The Rosehip was certainly memorable, and a steal at just £45.
Prestonfield House provides us with our best Afternoon Tea of 2017.
Perhaps a bit of a surprise entry, but this dessert of Avocado Panna Cotta and Smoked Honeycomb from Bodega was so unexpected it left as feeling surprised and delighted.
Clever showcasing of a great Scottish product is the reason Etive’s Trio of Whisky Ice Cream makes the list.
And straight from one trio of ice cream to another, but with flavours like Matcha Latte, Black Sesame, Cinnamon Orange & Brown Butter, how could we not include No.1 The Grange.
I’v had a few of these Down The Hatch Burgers now, and I expect I’ll have a few more in 2018.
Our final entry for part 1 are the memorable cocktails (complete with sorbet cone and apple crisps) from Epicurean.
Check back for Part 2 coming soon…
